Garbage. I agree with an earlier post that this is dumb news. Oddly Natasha's pretty good at intelligent, serious news, yet also this kind of news, the sort of news you find on the 6 (which I rank with itv News at the moment in terms of intelligence and style). I object to NK giving her opinions to the stories, regardless that we're all thinking it (the Paris Hilton story).
It felt too scripted. "Lets see what's going on?" What an awful way to start the news.
The graphics had no link whatsoever to the BBC News we know.
Obviously, not very impressed.
This bulletin adds no value. There are plenty of other places around the BBC to find the news if someone wants the news. This was pointless. I look forward to the regional version as I think it's possible that actually will add value. National news is a lot easier to get than local news.

Agree.

Interesting you say that - the 3.20 is 90seconds and has five stories, the one last night was 60seconds and had five stories. So you actually got the opposite of what you thought you got.

Looked good presentation wise but I think I would prefer a format like that on the 3.20 News Update - lots of stories with just two lines about them and onscreen graphics as opposed to this slightly more detail on fewer stories.
What happened in the rest of the regions?

The look reminds me of the news updates on Austria's ORF:

Ouch. Patronising. Tabloid. Subjective. Unfunny. Insensitive.
It was awful "Still no good news from Portugal I'm afraid". Cringe. How would you feel if that news affected you? No way to treat serious news.
"It looks like something out of a movie"... I'm sorry?!
Go away news. Let me watch TV in peace without being patronised.

Absolutely. That has to be the worst BBC News bulletin I have ever had the misfortune of watching. Why couldn't they just have done a repeat of the 15.20 summary format instead of trying to be cool and trendy. Sadly, that doesn't work with news on BBC One. As James said, it was too scripted and those clichés and opinions were just cringeworthy. If that is going to be the effort they put into it, I'd rather they scrapped it and went back to what they did before.
