Interesting, I thought there was supposed to be local news included. I can see why Natasha is doing the pilot seemed to work well, and to begin with I thought it was using CSO rather than the news studio. Shows how much the screens have been improved and tweaked.

I could see that working at both 8 and 9 - doesn't take up lots of time, but provides a quick round of up the key stories.

There are 3 versions being piloted the bulletin we have just seen, a 90 second national and regional version and a regional bulletin.

Ah right, I forgot that there are different versions. Is the national and regional one believed to be co-hosted.

Yep, 'Tash' in London, and Suzanne Virdee in Birmingham.

I didn't think too much of that, a sort of 60 Seconds crossed with OK magazine- actually isn't that the Six now ? . BBC1 continues to take the dumber road for it's news and I don't like it.

Lets see if these regional bulletins are any better.

I think they really need to use a bed. Give it some pace. Similar to David Lowes Newsbeat mixes maybe?

Remember that this is only a trial, and if it does get rolled out nationally, i guess they will tweak it a little.

I thought that was really good, nice pace and great graphics. Of course, some bad news, but the presentation was nice.
