Not sure this best place but. BBC NW are using a brand new style

We've seen this same style in other regions and I'm expecting this to spread throughout the english regions.

BBC West had a logo along those lines produced by James Mobbs who is based at Salford.

And they seem to be derived in style from the BBC Cymru Wales logo, albeit without the line.

One of the cleverest bits of unofficial branding is this from the Radio Leeds sports team, switching out some of the place names in their standard logo for Rugby League teams in the appropriate colours.

Can’t help but wonder if that Breaking News graphic is loosely in the style that BBC News will be using when Reith is introduced, or if it is just someone enthusiastically copying the BBC Sport slide design. I’d be more inclined to believe it’s the latter.

This thread demonstrates that there is a definite need for branding guidelines to be tightened up however.

The 22:30 NWT bulletin was coming from the studio they use for the bulletins during Breakfast, and not from the main studio. First time I've seen this happen, unless others know different.

In a special edition of NWT, Annabel Tiffin was in the fan zone in Manchester, using a commentators microphone. A wise choice, given the likely noise behind her. Yunus Muller was in Liverpool. For the rest of the news, it was NWTs Merseyside correspondent, Andy Gill, who was in the studio in Salford.
