It’s amazing where old sets crop up. When I was at uni donkeys years ago we had TVS’s old Coast to Coast set. I’ve also seen previous sets I thought had been skipped turn up years later within the BBC. God knows where they were squirrelled away in the meantime!

Ohhhh yes, I remember that set being in the Bournemouth Uni studio. Though, not being from the area, I never actually saw it on television.
I used to be a tech at UCLan and worked in the journalism studios all the time. I can't believe it's come up here for discussion and it's bringing back some happy memories of my time there seeing that Facebook post
I miss the old set, the neon sign broke ages ago though so not surprising they've ditched it.
I also just remembered we had radio studios too with ISDNs so we were frequently used for BBC Radio contributions. Especially for people who didn’t want to trek to Blackburn. Preston was much more convenient.
That seems to be becoming more frequent now that the BBC has closed many of its own District studios.
Understandable now that their journos don't need a local fixed facility to feed material back to base (thanks to technology - internet based transfers, Luci Live and most stations being able to run several Vervs rather than just one expensive radio car), it's not worth keeping them for the occasional contribution.
