NW
It's quite a nice building from the outside, it's all very modern, the main BBC logo isn't on the building, one window has a montage of famous Liverpudlians and next to that there is a BBC Shop, also to note that it's right next to a major regeneration of Liverpool City Centre.
I've caught NWT online tonight and I think it comes of no surprise that Gordon, Diane and Tony expressed their discomfort at the sofa area of the set, Gordon never really looked comfy and I'm sure he's pleased that it's going in the bin.
It's a nice experiment for the team to present from Liverpool within a Studio, something that BBC NW has never really done at all, although the set looks very Midlands Today IMO, but it's only temporary I suppose, it'll be interesting to see how the new Manchester set will look. This revamp could possibly be the last look of NWT at Oxford Road, as the move to Salford Quays will be happening in the next few years and work has already begun on the site.
Slightly OT but I went to Liverpool the other week and couldn't help but notice that Granada's old Studios are occupied now, but they've not taken the 'Granada Television' sign down.

I'm surprised they've found the space for a temporary set/studio in Radio Merseyside's building in Liverpool. They used to be based in Paradise Street, but since the regeneration got underway, they moved houses into a new purpose-built building on Hanover Street. It looks very modern and stylish, but rather on the small side (unless it is quite a deep building...from street level it looks fairly small, at least).
I'm quite glad the regional news is coming back to Merseyside, if only for a few days. I'm not sure if NWT ever broadcast from Liverpool before, but I know Granada did. It's about time we were at the centre of the region for a bit, instead of it always being Manchester.

Well this temporary set looks like someone's bedroom with a projector shining on the wall. Roll on Monday!

Do you mean the one that was used for last night's 10.25? I think that's the NWT newsroom.

No, it looks like storeroom with a couple of plamas stuck to the wall. Well, it's only for a couple of days I suppose!

I actually wish the Breakfast and late bulletins were presented from an area like that in the Manchester newsroom. Obviously, the lunchtime and main evening programmes have to come from a proper studio, but I see nothing wrong with a newsroom setting for the other bulletins. IIRC, Reporting Scotland does something like that for its shorter bulletins, and I've always thought it is quite effective.
