Sorry to ask a silly question, but what are the day time bulletins of North West Tonight' called? i.e the Breakfast and Lunchtimes ones?

Scroll a few pages back I think - I think it's in September.

Yes, Monday September 11th is the date given earlier on this thread. I suppose the other issue is when will the viewers be told of the revamp via the programme? I suspect the vast majority of the audience are currently oblivious to the upcoming changes.

Actually it's Monday 10th September, 11th is a Tuesday.

Well we know what they've been up to over the weekend now, the wooden floor has gone and it's now black.

They'll probably tell us the Friday before, at the end of the show. There's no reason for them to announce it on the show at the moment - it's very early.

Are we expecting the same titles that are used on BBC London News? It just seems strange because normally they keep the same music for 4-5 years even if they change the titles (they did this for the 2002 revamp - changed to the current titles but kept with the 2000 music until 2004).

Please God, say it's not true!

I think a few tears were shed on the new floor tonight after the piece about Anthony Wilson's death.

By the looks of it it's still there - they appear to have painted over it; it looks very sloppy!

Well I hope it isn't but if they are giving them a complete overhaul, I assume they'll bring in the London titles, but based on the North West.

Mark Simpson gave an update from BBC Manchester's North West Tonight studio but just using the oxford road backdrop. I didn't think the national journalists used regional bases.

Each BBC region has a 'Nationals Desk' as far as I'm aware of. The major ones do anyway.
