Looks like they are going to use that bench a lot more, sports bullitens being done on there, didnt realise this at all, missed fridays bulliten (getting drunk) and only caught the last 10 mins of this bulliten. Too tired to watch Tina (Bangs) Banks this morning to see her in the news centre.

So, the "window" HAS changed to a single big screen then!!! (as opposed to lots of little screens, with criss-cross stuff to hide to seams).

May well be a screen from a region that no longer has a plasma "window", such as Midlands Today.

Well I thought it was all rather good this evening -- massive improvements all-round, especially in the seated bit. I insist Tina Bangs becomes permanent co-presenter to drag it back down again.

Mind you, virtually nothing north or south of the M62 corridor -- but one thing at a time.

Notice the screen has changed, I wonder where it has come from, Leeds maybe? they're closest.
Not sure I like the bold 'North West Tonight' lettering it just looks odd.

The banter is very forced on NWT isn't it. With long pauses in between banter mode and let's move on mode

I think the screen may have changed to one large screen sometime ago. I seem to recall it changing to one full screen and it looked out of place, the bars were back the next day, but slightly different, as if projected.

The new set looks fab! a much nicer and more varied selection of "wider" camera angles which show off the set rather than just Gordon himself!

I'm not in the North West at the moment so can only comment on the captures!

Well I saw the 1.30pm and managed to tape the first couple of mins of Tonight (due to work) and I am very impressed with the new look, the LDN music isn't very BBC Manchester but I do like the use of it and the good use of it within the headlines, I would have thought that they would have stuck with the normal headline bed, but how surprised I was.

The use of the studio is very nice now, a properly designed set with a big screen that matches the set, a new desk and the view of Oxford Road still being existant is good too.

Last week it looked very stale but now it looks the most up to date, a good mix of the old and the new IMO.

Will be watching tomorrow.

Is the music exactly like LDN or is the bit at the end like Look East / Mids Today?

The exact same as LDN, I was expecting them to use the Look East / Midlands Today one.
