A good programme tonight I thought, the casino vote story was covered well with their new political editor live from Westminster and reporters live in Blackpol and Manchester.
Their new political editor is far easy to watch than Jim Hancock was, he always seemed very nervous.
Not sure, but he appeared in a piece on BBC London News last night, I caught it whilst watchin the 10 online (BBC London's late bulletin was on the end of it).
He seemed to be debating some sort of political issue, maybe he's left journalism?
Why is it that NWT always place weather symbols over place names? Tonight, there was a huge wind speed/direction symbol over the Huntingdon place name! There's plenty of space on the map - one would assume they could arrange it more appropriately.
Also, I loved the end of tonight's show. Dianne was at the Doctor Who convention and said that she'd bought a Darlek cookie jar. When she handed back to Gordon, he just said "I hope you don't eat too many cookies." The look on Dianne's face was priceless. She just looked stunned.

I think he has, although I cannot remember why, apparently he did write for the short lived weekly North West Newspaper that was launched last year, but as we know that bombed and folded after a few issues.
Usually - he does, but I believe he didn't today however can't confirm that. He was out on location interviewing some sports person who was retiring so presume he was not.
I'd imagine Gordon was filming the Jason Robinson interview which was broadcast on the 1830 and which there is now a fuller version of on the NWT website.
New (old) title music for Midlands Today, using the same music as the National and the same headline bed.
I hope NWT doesn't follow with this scheme, but I think it's inevitable that NWT and all other BBC regional news programmes (possibly London excepted) will be using the same National music before long - unless this is just a pilate scheme by the BBC and they end up cancelling it, if it isn't a success.

Does that involve lots of posh women doing strange exercises in an overpriced gym?
