What did people think of the new sports presenter, Tony Livesey, apparantly from BBC Radio Lancs?

I thought he was the former editor of the Daily Sport? He's popped up on the odd programme or two when the Tabloids are mentioned.

I saw him on Monday, he's putting effort into it, more than what could be said for the prevuious guy, but I agree he was a right scruff.

A good programme last night (Wednesday) with home video footage of the murdered kids and an interview with a former neighbour who said she'd feared for their mothers safety. There was also a good Watchdog style report into a firm which is conning pensioners into paying for damp proof courses they don't need - it was classic Jayne Barrett at her best!

Agreed, Jayne Barretts Watchdog style stories are always very good.

I didn't see the late bulletin of NWT tonight (I watched ITV News instead) but last night it was Mark Edwardson. The chances are it was him again tonight.

NWT have quite a good team of presenters at the moment. Almost as good as the Gordon Burns, Martin Henfield, Nigel Jay and Julia Sharp era. I like Ranvir and Annabel very much. I do, however, miss Nigel Jay from the Breakfast bulletins. Nobody will ever beat his clunky opting to/from Breakfast!

You mean Mark Edmonson, he's getting pretty good, he's also a regular on BBC Radio Manchester, he filled in for Heather Stott the other week and he was very good as a DJ, as he only normally does Newsreading.

I couldn't agree more with the current rosta of presenters, they're getting a good mix of them again, though you couldn't beat presenters such as Nigel Jay and Martin Henfield, they like John Mundy were last of the old BBC North West.

Yes, Julia was great. Very much missed by people within the BBC as well as the viewers.
