Quite interesting. Couldn't work out from those caps if the bench is in the second part of the set, as it looks so similar to the desk area.

Surprised Gill Sans is still surviving in regional news - and what's with Gill Sans Extra Bold? I thought it had been ritually burned along with the old News 24 set.

Definitely seems like a partial refit, but I'm glad we've still got our webcam pic; it is one of the better regional ones.

Definately in the second set, you can tell because the screen is not the same as any on the main area.

Ah yes. On closer inspection, there's a panel between the screen and the red bit. Nice idea to have a 'laid back' afternoon bulletin.

Do those London red circles on the colour pics we know and love (*ahem*) look as odd on screen as they do in the caps?

It seems the regions are moving away from the 'Breakfast' style sofas (PW, Spotlight) and onto more the 'Daily Politics' style bench thingys (LNH, er....) personally I think the benches look NAFF and outdated.

Yeah they do, but it may just be because we're more used to the more subtle rings. Keep feeling the pictures should be grayscale like the London ones. and the bit without the email on looks a little weird too as it's not centred. And whatrs the point of the "freeview CH1 etc..." bit?

wow that LDN travel bed works really well as a headlines bed, although Gordon did seem to be struggling to shout over it a bit

Wish there was less cream and the proportions of the BBC logo / title were the same on the screen behind Gordon as the ones in the titles. Other than that, not bad at all!

Ouch! Not a good start there. Crashing in a couple of seconds after we started getting BBC London headlines.

What about presenting with two presenters?! Or its news for small region?

What exactly is the point of having Freeview Ch. 1 on there? It's always struck me as a bit pointless to put the channel information on the end of a programme you are watching anyway.
