I assume it's because Gordon and Dianne were on "meet and greet" at an indoor market in Barrow-in-furness. Trailed on Monday and Tuesday's programmes.

Why did NWT use Peter Gibbs today for the weather at 1.40pm, I think it was live as he spoke to Fiona etc but was on the screen, as he must have been in London.

Aye they were, good to see these things still going on, fingers crossed Warrington is next.
It's a shame Nicola Dixon no longer works at the BBC, otherwise we wouldn't have this problem, but saying that Dianne Oxberry can do both Weather bulletins now as she no longer occupies the lunchtime slot on BBC Radio Manchester. I would have suggested Heather Stott, but she isn't on BBC Radio Manchester this week, and Television wise she's regulary popping up on Channel M.

Good programme tonight live from the Open, although Gordon's hand was shaking quite a bit with the hand held mic he was forced to hold. Must be his age, bless him.
Jayne Barrett has been particularly good live from Hoylake for the last two nights...handled the revellers really well and is always superb on live OB's . An outstanding talent and her packages are always worth a watch. She's surely got to be worth a move to the network at some point, if she ever wants to leave the north west.

Yup agree an excellent prog from Hoylake tonight. As for Jane Barrett, who was the drive who caught her in the middle of the road and got him to drive her to Hoylake for the end of NWT. Jane was BRILLANT with the explaination.
NWT at it's best

Ranvir Singh presented the main programme last Thursday, a good job she did too IMO. Far better than when Jayne Barret presented last year.
Annabel Tiffin is presenting this evening. She presented the lunchtime bulletin today, there was no headline sequence, have they got rid off this on the lunchtime programme?

Interesting to see how they don't include the Isle of Man in their tour around the edge of the region....
