What a Bank Holiday can bring on Regional TV, on NWT today we had Kate Simms who doesn't present that often, and even more bizzarely over on Channel M we had Heather Stott presenting the whole edition of Channel M News, and considering the fact she only used to do the Weather at BBC NW, she was quite good on Channel M, and far less annoying than Clare Fallon.
You never know, the two year cycle is nearly up, you have a point there. But saying that, I'm not bothered, NWT isn't in dire need for a makeover, since they had that technical upgrade and finally started broadcasting in full 16:9, it looks alot better and it certainately refreshed the overall presentation.
I couldn't disagree more, North West Tonight has looked dire ever since they adopted the whole generic look. They could do with smartening themselves up. A lot.
The current set, introduced in 2004, is still ok but would look a whole lot better IMO with a proper sofa and not the hideous bench with lots of wires etc on show.
Lots of new camera angles recently, looking much better since the technical revamp I agree.
I don't disagree with that, but I think that the titles and graphics could do with a makeover, especially considering they've just gone into widescreen.
