Very well put together NWT last night which was, uncoincidentally, conspicuous by its lack of fluff.

Unfortunately, yes. A very engaging weather presenter. Whatever she is moving on to I hope she succeeds, she's been excellent on NWT.

Yup, Gordon mentioned it at Lunchtime and then she appeared for the last time on NWT at 6.30pm, apparently she's getting married in May and is leaving the BBC altogether.
I thought she'd be going onto BBC Radio Manchester permanently, but that isn't the case.
Though good luck to her, she's been great at NWT, I will miss the word game at Lunchtime.

I don't know, on North West Tonight; Nicola said that Dianne would be back from her Holidays tomorrow.., though there's a high chance Dianne can do the 1.40pm now, as she no longer has the 12-2pm slot on BBC GMR/Radio Manchester, as Alan Beswick now occupies it.

Wherever Nichola goes she'll be a plus. She was a lot better than Diane.
While the picture quality on NW bulletins is better after the camera change do some of the shots of the Presenters look too bright?
Peter Marshall looked like a ghost this evening and so does Gordon sometimes?
Plus, have NWT slighlty altered the view behind the Presenter to give it more depth?

What a total disaster last evenings programme was! We started with BBC London titles, cut away to North West Tonight titles just in time. Then the sound totally disappeared at the end, no football results (v bad for a Saturday), so all we had was a presenter for around 90 seconds with no speech.
To top off a great edition all we heard was her say "Goodbye", titles cut short and we rejoined the network just as the Strictly Dance Fever promo was ending.
This seems to be happening a lot at the moment- just who is running the programme- it was awful to see so many problems on what should be a great programme.

I may be wrong but I think they have new equipment/gallery at NWT - that may be causing a few teething problems.
