The bulletin came from the newsroom with Tina Bangs in front of a plasma with no explanation of why.

There was a piece in one of the GMR studios with one of their presenters paying tribute to Fred Dibnah, I was surprised to see it was a modern studio, I thought they would still be Mk III

Wonder if weather will be moved over to that screen or not? Also i wonder if the sofa area has had a revamp as we can't see that. Clad they have kept the window out of all the 2000 region sets it looks the most real.

Well now as it stands Dianne does the weather from the middle of nothing and the shot linking over to her is rather strange indeed -- so I think it would be sensible if she did.

As for the sofa area, was this not possibly the least effectively used [and most oddly lit] bit of studio space in the land?

Perhaps they might indeed indulge in a sofa for the sofa area.

Well, they're not using the new studio for breakfast, they used the newsroom.

looks like the window is not going to be part of the main shot of the set?

I love the intro and headlines bed (which I think was BBC London 94.9's travel bed). Totally inappropriate if it was a heavy news day, mind you.

Looking at the Manchester webcam picture, it would seem that it looks a bit like the National news studio, but slightly better.
