BBC North West Tonight

I don't live in the NW, and don't have Sky.

When NWT first went corporate, their "window" was made up of lots of small screens, with criss-cross stuff to hide the seams, wasn't it?

But the "window" in the above pic looks like one big screen (I see no seams), is it?

If it has changed to a single screen, when did it?

As part of the revamp that we're discussing here? Or days/weeks/months (etc) ago?

yeah it was, i thought it was last week aswell, have they dropped the bars in the window?

Well looks like new titles too, well, at least the end of them, new all red LDN style by the lopks of the big screen at the moment.

Also the panel looks more red now, though that could just be because the main lights seem to be off.

Much better!! I like the way in front of the Manchester Screen, the two frosted glass panels, they are lit up in white and red. The panal looks great with it red rather then a white-red. The logo is alright, but the red LDN titles idea is taking over the whole country!!

Are they going to use the new studio for the program latter this evening? It all looks very finished now, and there seems to be a presenter with a script in front of them sitting in the studio.

all revamps, of daily news shows anyway, all rel,aunch on mondays. Sunday isnt a day for revamps. They just look to be doing some rehersals with the new camera angles ect.

oh how very last year. is that all they can come up with - rehashed version of their last set with bits of the national news studio thrown in.

Looks like Fiona Trot and Dianne Oxberry at the desk on the webcam. Could Fiona be presenting NW Tonight tomorrow?

Finished for tonight now it seems.

I do like the desk and the lights on the frosted walls at the back, but on the whole it's a bit dull really, but I suppose they can't all have newsrooms like MT.

Maybe they've got a screen from a region that doesn't use one anymore. There must be loads hanging about.

The desk looks ok, if a little predictable, but there's much worse in the world of BBC Regional News.
I'm predicting the titles will be the same as before but with the LDN music and endboard!

Oh hang on with the new shots above i can see the lines in the screen again.

Are you sure it's not just the slightly "pixelated" picture quality?

I'm sure that if the the bars are still there, they're thick/dark enough to be more visible than that.
