I walked past Dave this afternoon whilst he was filming outside a pub in Wigan. I saw a camera looking inside the pub and the he jumped out with two plates of food and I nearly died!

Did anybody else notice the studio lights dotted about the studio tonight? Looked rather effective IMO. Possible a good permenant addition.

Also for the first time in a while. Gordon presented the entire programme from the soft set. Not sure if this has been done since the relaunch back in November 2004??

I thought he looked uncomfortable.
I hate it when he totally turns his back to the viewer to talk to the guest in the big screen - so rude.

What do you expect him to do, talk to the camera pretending it's a screen?

You really are moronic. I'd like you to go to NWT and go and do each one of their jobs. If you think you know how bloody perfect their bulletins should be.

I don't think under 16's are allowed to do work experience..........

NWT's website is now back online, after a few months of redirecting to the BBC England webpage, still with the old 2002-2004 style titles for the banner though.

However, there is some interesting reads in the presenter profile section. It seems that Carol Lowe is expecting a baby early next year, seems likely that Ranvir Singh will take her two evenings a week, or maybe Kate Simms or Jayne Barret - both have been standing in on bulletins recently. Would be good to see Peter Marshall return to the late bulletin, he presented the breakfast bulletins a few weeks back and IMO is rather good.

The studio webcam hasnt made a return mind!

Also discovered a site with a couple of pics of the studio between programmes
BBC Manchester Pics - houseoftheorangemonkey.co.uk

And finally I stumbled accross these 360 views of the NWT studio, seen in the first variation of corporate look, for those who may be interested.

I'm not sure if anyone else noticed but the grammar in the presenter's proiles is quite bad Confused Also, where's Fiona Trott's profile!! Surprised

I was very surprised to hear that Carol Lowe is pregnant. I thought she was about 50.

Record it to server and start playing it while still recording?

If they had a server they'd probably do that.. not too long now.. its being built at the moment apparently

But... my freeview box can do that, surely it's not that hard. Tuner + Network Feed into Hard Drive = Timeshift = Play.
