I take it they're going to sort out that new big screen, it's currently projecting onto the floor.

Looks like what they've done it added a new desk, and a new bit with the screen on and changed one of the red pannels into a "pinky" lit one. Other than that it looks like the old set.

Yes, it is puzzling. I'd have presumed they'd take the whole set out before rebuilding, which does suggest the webcam window is staying.

That new desk doesn't look big enough for two presenters, which will disappoint those of us who'd like to see a co-presenter for Gordon.

Hmmm, the webcam image changed while I was editing this post.

It looks like it's going to change on this thread for each time the webcam image has been posted here. As far as I can
tell, it appears that the NWT studio webcam sends the image, which is autosaved on the server as "manchester3.jpg".

Or, something like that.

My God - give that man a biscuit. Thanks for clearing up how a webcam works DJGM.

Well saying that, they seem to be testing out camera angles at the minute, just seen this with two people behind the desk, so it looks like it can, looks like they've still got those chairs, the ones that look to have a really narrow back.

They've got it done quick enough, less than 24 hours to erect, well done BBC. Overall it does look very nice, it does suit NWT, a new style desk, a big screen that is actually designed for and with the studio not a sh*tty one added, no more cream and to top all of that it appears they're keeping their good view of Oxford Road.

Wonder if weather will be moved over to that screen or not? Also i wonder if the sofa area has had a revamp as we can't see that. Clad they have kept the window out of all the 2000 region sets it looks the most real.

Does this mean NE&C will be left as the only region left without a revamp since 2002? The set is aged, the presenters are crap, and the whole news service has a definite bias towards the North East.

Rubbish, absolute rubbish.

Watch NE&C before you comment. Obviously the one you're talking about is a completely different programme.

The set doesn't look aged, it actually is a very nice set, it still looks quite in fashion and modern. At least Anne Davis isn't doing the ironing in the set.

Adam darling, *NOTHING* of interest to anyone ever happens in Cumbria. Watch Lookaround for evidence of that.
