I was just taking a look at the webcam and noticed that on the camera was what looked like pictures of shots of the set so the camera knows where to go.. I have always wondered what they have on the camera.. because I have seen before of other news programmes a folder laid out. and Ive always just been curious whats on them.

Tell you who i do miss from north west today. Martin Henfield he had a lovely warm, friendly and also serious ,manner to the news one of the best presenters nwt has had.

Yes I agree. Martin always seemed ten times more human than most of those they've got on at the moment. Nigel Jay also gets my vote.

Yes, Martin Henfield was the best asset they had, although Annabel Tiffin is developing similar qualities, especially on the six.

NWT had its best team in 2001 - Gordon Burns, Martin Henfield, Nigel Jay and Julia Sharp. Julia, sadly, passed away in c.2001/2002, and from memory, she was replaced by Tina Bangs. But that was definitely the best team they've had in recent years.

Dan Walker, Sports Presenter, is fronting this afternoons bulletin. No Gordon?.

Could Dan be moving to presenting bulletins, as Ranvir Singh started presenting the occasional afternoon bulletin before presenting Breakfast and Late bulletins.

That occasionally happens - but Gordon usually returns for the 6.30pm programme. Don't know why it happens.

Has Dan Walker ever presented a bulletin before?

Don't think so, when he came to my local church to talk he said he just did the sport for them.

Yeah well i really do miss them i grew up with seeing Breakfast news on when i went to school and Martin and Julia and Nigel were often there. We don't see much of Nigel anymore granted i don't see NWT much now but he seems to have cut down. He himself must be getting on as well but he again has a much warmer and friendlier style to the news, Always enthusiastic. Well i have to agree Annabel is fast becoming the new Juila Sharpe, How did Julia Sharpe pass away anyone know? So sad if it was something that she could not prevent? We miss her the group isn't as strong but i think it will get stronger soon, like i say more Annanel at 6 30 please!!
wo i rwally couldnt spell so ve had a bit of an edit!!lol

I have e mailed NWT asking about their website and whether it will eb updated soon.
Looking at NWT i have changed my mind in recent months, its style its presenters and the news are vastly improving and well Gordon maybe getting on a bit but he's definately better than other presenters i have seen, and as for people like Nigel , Fiona, tina and Anabelle they're very professional and warm and do much better job than other regions. I spent last wek watching my regional new EMT and to be honest the quality and presentation waspretty dire and actually laughable compared to NWT, at least NWT gives us hard hitting important news and then the lighter side of the show but does not dumb itself down too much. So to be honest ihas recently become one of the best regional news programmes of the country!
i just hope they change their website soon
