Yesterday the late bulletin got half of BBC London's titles before fading into NWT's after a struggle.
Tonight, we got BBC London titles and an introduction by London's presenter, before cutting to a shot of NWT with the presenter asking somebody in the studio 'Why' before jumping in with 'Good evening I'm....'.
They delayed start led to the NW being cut off by the Ten update, whilst the presenter was signing off on Wednesday, and no signoff at all on Thursday.
Why and how do regions automatically get BBC London, and why does this happen?.

I saw the cock up and it was very funny, I thought it was a Digital only cock-up, but it must have happened on Analogue, but the presenter made me laugh as she didn't know whether she was coming or going, doesn't help that both programmes share the same theme tune either.
As for your quesiton about BBC London, basically it is the National feed that is fed to every (English) region for that region to opt on to, but if there's no regional programmes the national feed from London stays on, but BBC Manchester then opts in at 10.25pm to show NWT, but tonight it came on a few seconds late. They've been doing this for years, but it hasn't always been BBC London News, it used to be UK Today and before that if you were lucky you'd have Newsroom South East.
Thanks! Which service would BBC London show if they could for some reason be unable to show a bulletin, for example when there was no NWT on a Sunday due to a fire alarm?
BBC London News, including the studio, always seems very boring if ever i catch it.

Well that's a good Question, it would probably go to BBC London News anyway or they would go to something else if BBC One stuck in something else. But if it was just the case of BBC London News being down then the BBC would probably switch it to another region, though that will never be bound to happen.
The BBC have said Sport will move to Manchester and News will move from TVC to Manchester in 2006/7. When this happens, I doubt that the network feed will still include BBC London, am I wrong?

If it happened during a programme you'd get an apology slide just like any other time of the day. If there's warning and they have time the next in line is South Today. This is certainly what happens at Breakfast if BBC London is unavailiable - it has happened in the past
