It could be her or maybe Fiona Trott? By the way, what's happened to Nigel Jay recently? He used to present the breakfast updates, but the ones I've seen recently have been presented by Fiona Trott or another woman whose name I don't know. Has he retired like Martin Henfield?

I've wondered where hes gone too. Fiona Trott seems to be the main presenter now. Surely he cant of retired - didnt look that old. Maybe hes presenting the Christmas bulleting?

I last saw Nigel Jay when he was presenting the North West opt-outs with Dianne Oxberry for Children in Need back in November.

Fiona Trot presented the 11.10 late bulletin tonight, rather than the usual Carol Lowe when Annabel Tiffin doesnt do it.

Ranvir Singh occassionally presents the breakfast bulletins these days, as well as the 3.20 update sometimes (even when Gordon does the lunchtime and evening programes - quite odd I thought)

No problem. I assumed it was descriptive of your location/regional programme.

I disagree, I always thought she was one of the best of the presenters on BBC NE&C ( not that that takes much doing! )when she worked there. I've always thought she seemed very confident and a natural in front of the camera.

Nigel Jay has returned today. He presented the bulletin at around 1.10 and conducted a live interview with a reporter at Manchester Airport.

He will be back at 6.15 ish.

Does Gordon Burns not present at all until the return of the main programmes.

Gordon dosent usually present over the Christmas period, i dont think we will see him until Tuesday

He usually has the main Holidays off, but fair credit to him he's usually on every other main weekday for the rest of the year, okay that was slightly exaggerated but he only ever had a couple of weeks off, compared to say Lucy Meacock on Granada Reports who only works about 3 days a week, where as Tony Morris only has about 3 days off a year! I also notice that Annabel Tiffin doesn't present every night either, don't know if she does it Part time, as I heard somewhere she had a baby not too long ago.

Good to see Nigel Jay back on!

Nigel Jay was back again this evening to present the late bulletin, I persume he presented the early evening bulletin aswell. Whilst Ranvir Singh presented the lunchtime news.
