Either I've had one too many Beers tonight, but I'm sure the 10.00pm intro said the News with "Fiona Bruce and (new presenter's name goes here.)", yet Huw Edwards appeared.

a new newsreader on the late edition of North west tonight. Haven't seen her before she was quite good though she seemed a bit nervous. loks like the weather was pre recordrd tonighjt for some reason??

It’s quite often pre-recorded now. I thought Eno was supposed to be presenting the weather forecast (or trying to in her vague way) but it doesn't appear so Confused

Does anyone know anything more about this new presenter 'Alison Wood'? I think this might be her first presenting job as I don't think she's been on anything else before.

Brill tribute to the NHS and some touching stories there, nice program they did tonight live from Trafford hospital.

Having been away for two weeks I don't know when this happened but they appear to have got rid of the stupid BBC NEWS box on the projector screens in the studio finally!

An Elvis impersonator performed in the studio tonight and the blue backdrop changed, flickering through a few colours purple/orange/red...

Looked so much better with a red studio! The blue is so cold.

The camera work was terrible. A few shots had a cameraman in the way, and the camera angles were a bit crazy. The whole performance was handled very badly. They overran as well, with no proper close. They just cut to what was coming up on BBC One for the rest of the evening.

Finally, a chance to see them using different colours of the background, rather than just the blue and purple for Politics Show. Perhaps they could use more colours in future.

go on then.. now's your chance... how would you have done it??

I think I would have made sure that there isn't a cameraman in the shot. Surely, someone could have picked the shots better. I think we could all do without the sarcasm as well, thanks.

Also, I've noticed that the programme hasn't been as good as when Gordon is there. Tony Livesey wasn't made for presenting news, especially serious news, and Ranvir seems to be acting very differently without Gordon there. She's more extrovert and fun-loving.

Kind of obvious from his original post, isn't it?

Yes. Plus the camera work was especially awful with the random cameramen appearing.
