SURELY if the plan is to give all regions a consistent look this month, it would have been known about last year, and surely NWT would not have therefoe completely refurbished it's studio set and titles??

So perhaps NWT can stay as it is..

perhaps all other regions will come to look like NWT

perhaps NWT can be tweaked ever so slightly (ie. colours) to fit the new look...

I hope not! The studio really is awful. Nice titles though.

I don't like the set - it ain't 'cosy' enough. The desk seems miles away from the soft sofa area.. Sure- the studio is big, they didn't have to try and fill it though.

Oh dear what has the BBCdone to our lovely studio and credits that NEW look reminds me of the awful cringeworthy days of 1999. if NWT has any sense they will abandon it within 6 months and go back to the last look with the last music titles!!!

At least they re-used the footage filmed for the previous titles. It wasn't a total waste of money then...

But all the effort making those last WOUNDERFUL titles is gone! Sad

I'm really disappointed now it's changed. Plus, the studio is too blue now that the screens show very little red.

Is there any particular reason to constantly show Salford Keys?

Apparently because that's where they're moving to in a couple of years, you can see the construction of the new building in the picture. (Or at least that's what they said on the programme last night, see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xGsqRAtoqQ )

I reckon that NWT will get ANOTHER new Look when it moves to salford in 2 years time hopefully they will ditch the "new look" BBc regions as i really think theyre going back in time to 1999 which can't be good. It'll be interesting to see if that picture changes as the new building develops.

Eno Eruotor is to join NWT as a weather presenter according to Gordon's latest email. They are planning live forecasts in more bulletins, so presumably she'll be on the late one.

I believe she's been on Radio Leeds in the past.

And then of course, BBC News will get another revamp. One which will make the BBC New brand clearer for the audience, and which will be rolled out across all BBC News outlets, including the regions. And NWT will once again be quashed of its own identity.
