Yes, yes, we know that. We also know that she was only called on to do it because Gordon, Stuart and Peter were unavailable.
And while we all agreed she made a very good job of it (so much so that one or two of the changes from that time have been incorporated into the new-look NWT), she's still lower down the pecking order at present.

Assuming you're talking about this guy: http://news.bbc.co.uk/olmedia/460000/images/_463078_marshall_cut2.jpg
then, no.
No picture of Peter Marsahll on NWT's website (which is really poor, has the old logo and a picture of the mustard yellow version of the old NWT set).

That isn't Peter Marshall who was a Newsnight reporter, and presented occasionally on News 24 in the 90s is it?

Why should NWT have a Manchester feel? Doesn't it also go out in Liverpool, Lancashire, S.Cumbria, Cheshire, Stoke, Isle of Man???
NG
Problem with giving the show "a manchester feel" is that it isn't "Manchester Tonight" - it covers a much larger region - including Liverpool and other non-Manchester areas of the North West, like Chester.
BBC London have the same problem - the show makes sense if you live inside the M25 - but is pretty irrelevant if you don't...

To be honest, I disagree with morgaineofevil when he says it has a Manchester feel. Nothing's changed in terms of the titles to make it more Manchester-centric, I don't see how the adoption of LDN's music gives NWT a more Manchester feel. In fact, I feel that NWT gives excellent coverage of Merseyside, Cheshire and Lancashire as well as Greater Manchester, where it is based.
