Tony Livesy presenting tonight's regional news, even though the reporter for the top story was Mark Edwardson, but Tony is doing well.

Maybe he's getting experience to be Gordon' stand in on the 6.30? Or even Gordon's replacement in the long-term?

I've said that since the day he started - I think he's wasted on sport. He's a great presenter and has the potential to be the face of NWT.

Mr Livesey has been very busy of late hasn't he? North West Tonight (on any day really), breakfasts on BBC Radio Lancashire, Inside Sport and Strictly Come Dancing it takes Two, according to Gordon's newsletter.

He's quite good at Sport, but I didn't see this evenings bulletin, but he has shown he's improved over time.

You're all very good at speculating, aren't you? That's not true at all. Ranvir is working long hours doing the evening and night bulletin and they're trying to sort it. Experimenting is a better word to use.

According to Gordon's latest newsletter (number eight), Tony Livesey is to co-anchor NWT tonight and tomorrow with Ranvir. Will be very interesting to see how he goes!

yes exciting, also Anabelle is to return on Friday to present with Gordon whilst Ranvir is doing something else! I like Anabelle and since she moved doing the politics show ive missed her presenting nwt

I thought Tony did very well tonight - and not just because he was forced into wearing a tie.

I thought he looked abit uncomfortable at the start, but seemed OK by the end of the programme.

His smart appearance attracted quite afew emails too by the looks of it.

Look East's original remote control was a car alarm "blipper" that rang a buzzer in the gallery to tell the director that the weather presenter wanted the next graphic - in the days when they maps were made up by a designer. (c. 1995)

Just been having a watch now - he did look rather uncomfy at the start. Well done to him.

btw, new NWT breakfast presenter this week, well, I've never seen her before.
