Seems some sort of technical hitch - colours don't look right and you can hear the echo of the question quietly.

Gordon Burns is the new Jeremy Paxman!!

He looked furious when Ranvier said, "You lived to tell the tale" lolol.

And they don't have the weather girl chatting anymore do they.

I think it was that the weather was the final item tonight, rather than penultimate - and so no time for Heather to dash over to the sofas for some banter.

Excellent interview from Gordon there.

Gordon sums up the a few alteractions to the set since the large re-vamp due to viewer criticisms in his newsletter

Quote:
Generally the new set has gone down well with everybody but the few criticisms we’ve had are about the black floor and the “swirly” moving bit on the red arc on those screens behind Ranvir and me. Some people find that distracting but all in all most seem pretty happy. By the way has anyone noticed that we’ve repainted the black floor? It’s still the same colour only this time we’ve given it a matt finish. Any better?

Yep, last week. It was discussed in the News 24 thread.

They used the late edition titles tonight, probably due to the dark evenings now, but I think they should have produced a longer version for the main bullitin.

Anyone noticed the weather presenter's now have a wireless control for the weather computer display? Looks neater than all that cable across the floor, wonder why, if the system is standard across the BBC, that we dont see it in other regions?

The "standard system" is effectively a posh PC. I suspect someone has found or built a remote control to replace the cabled version locally.

Look East use a remote control version and have for a long time. The Breakfast presenter makes use of the wall to illustrate some stories, plus for travel and weather.
