Notice the advantages of keeping the webcam window. Fireworks above the Town Hall as the Christmas Lights were turned on, coincidentally appearing as the programme was finishing and Gordon and Diane were having a chat (meaning they could throw in a comment about it)
I've seen most of NWT this week and I must say it's not just the set change which has improved. The whole atmosphere (and Gordon's enthusiasm) seem so much better now.
so is everyone liking the new North West Today? I personally think it has one of the ebst looks in the country now! Gordon seems much happier as well!

I'm going to re write that.
So when will we be able to look at the laterst bulletins with a realplayer version like now i am catching up with Look North.
When will the website be updated, Nigel jay has been there for years but has no info on his profile>.Anabelle tiffin and carol are also missing
Come on NWT this really is poor.
Both Nigel Jay (who, as was stated above, was on one mornignt his week) and Fiona Trott are doing a great job at presenting NWT during Breakfast, as they both come across as warm and friendly, but also efficient (considering the limited time they have).
I just wish they'd drop the name strap and go back to letting the presenters introduce themselves - it seemed much friendlier.
An amusing slip-up by Gordon during the afternoon update there. The news item was about an incident at a school in Trafford, and Gordon said "And we'll have more details of that story in Granada Rep...I'm sorry, BBC North West Tonight at 6.30". Surely he knows which programme he works for?!
There were more cock up's during the 6.30 North West Tonight, I don't know if it was Gordon's mistake or if the Autocue failed or something, but he said 'Later on North West Tonight.....', this being the point when the music starts playing, he reads whats coming up but then realises it's the wrong thing and then apologises and goes onto the correct story, even then that isn't done correctly.
Has anyone else noticed that on the Lunchtime bulletin, that Nicola Dixon is doing something with the map, the game is that you have to see the word created from the names of the towns on the map, for instance last week there was 'FRONT', but that was quite obvious, though it usually leaves Gordon puzzled, though when the end music plays she explains it to him.
For anyone who wants to know The Krypton Factor will be on Challenge TV weekdays from next Monday at 2pm and 8pm, don't know which series it is though.
