The banter at the end was very awkward, I thought. It seemed no-one knew what to speak about or when to speak...

I really like the Opening titles, they're a vast improvement in comparison to what we've had for 5 years now, and proper shots of the Region.

Although the first few seconds of the music seem to have some reminiscence of the 1999 English Regions music.

Other than blue and the 'Live News, Local News' tag, I really like it.

I love the way they've tried to get the "streams of news" ala Nes 24 countdown in, albeit this time in white, over the live action shots, and then you see them all conecting up on the final map shot. Very impressed with it.

Are these titles going to be rolled out across the regions, or will they end up being unique to the NW? They seem a bit slick to have been produced locally, which would suggest they were made in London for a roll out. And I would love to see Midlands Today getting something like them, even though they're bound to adopt something dodgy again.

The set looks slightly similar to NWT in 1993 with the opening shot, two presenters at the desk and the blue background.

WOW! Sorry but I'm a bit shoked at how good this revamp is! Best rgional new look since....well....since LDN!

Is this look being rolled out across the regions?

Bleeding hope so- it's a real mess down here in London at the minute!

Love the titles and music the best- set is decent too. Very Happy

I really do object to them not announcing the name of the national anchor(s) though.

I have even said in the past that there is no need to mention the regional presenters in the main announcement - they always give their names when NWT starts anyway.

It leaves the national presenters receiving no credit - and they are the ones actually presenting the 'proper' news anyway.

I think they're unique to the North West at the mo, if you take a look at the NWT Site there is a behind the scenes clip of how they fimed the titles and they're all NW locations, I don't recall any Region doing this when they did the 2002 look.

Although it would be interesting to see if another region did pick up this look.

EDIT: The 10.25pm has night time titles have shots of Manchester, Blackpool and Liverpool all lit up.

I think it looks better they focus on the actual place rather than the people in the titles, such as the Kids in the lake or the Footballers in the park, I just didn't get that.
