Nobody said it's going to be used today. Gordon said they'd use it on Monday with the new co-presenter being Ranvir.

Speculation is that NWT will come from the newsroom tonight not the new set

Sorry, I had intended to include the Kate/Stuart thing as an addition to your post. Jayne is a very big (and spectacular) mistake. Kate/Stuart is definately the way forward for Fridays though.

If it is true, then I would like Stuart and Kate to do the Friday programme. I think they would make a good pairing; both are excellent journalists and very likeable presenters. It would be refreshing to have some different presenters on Friday, as I must admit that I am a bit fed up of seeing Gordon all the time.

It seems like it may just be speculation as there was no mention of it in the press release.

It would be refreshing to see Stuart presenting more often and Kate Simms covered the Cheshire Reporter position very well - she went on maternity leave in March.

Up to now this year, Gordon has still been the main presenter although I've noticed he's been away more often, especially over the summer (I think Ranvir has done a full week of presenting 3 times since June) - I think he had fronted the show more times in 2005 and 2006 at this point in the year than he has done this year.

I think it was mentioned in an official release that Gordon and Ranvir will only do Mon-Thurs, but I haven't seen anything official regarding Kate/Stuart.

I hope it is true though.

Actually, just checked out the NWT website and Kate's profile has been deleted from the 'reporters' section and added to the presenters section. Stuart remains in the reporters section though.... could it perhaps be Tony Livsey and Kate on Fridays?
