The ending of North West Tonight is far better now, much more professional. Previsouly the camera didnt zoom out and just cut off back to national news.

I thought last night's long shot across the studio at the end (like at the beginning) was better than tonight's slightly cramped zoom out from Gordon and Diane to include the screen.

Gordon seems much more relaxed and animated now.

I wonder whether they've put the main screen slightly too high. The zoom in for the weather doesn't have the screen filling the screen (unlike the National studio).

Why, wot was on the screen at the end. I didnt notice, I was looking at the weather slide change clicker things in a heap on the floor!

The BBC North West Tonight slide was on it.

I do applaud the fact that the words 'BBC News' have disappeared from this and the titles, even if I'm still finding the red rings a little odd.

I tuned into the afternoon bulletin at 3.20 Gordon wasnt on. A presenter who I hadnt seen before was fronting the bulletin.

Who is this, did she do the lunchtime bulletin?

However - I think the LDN-style local news doesn't work with the national news as a corporate look. I'm half tempted to make a mock of what I think the BBC news corporate look should be like...

Take a look here at Lad UK's Midlands Today mock. He's taken the spiral logo from the national news and added the idea to Midland's Today.

Looks very nice, it's a shame that we couldn't have had something like that on Midland's Today, to lead the way over every other region.

The only think I'd change is to have the spirals in singular forms that go around buildings and locations of the region, a bit like the arrow on the titles of TRL (if you've ever seen them, if not, see here), except they would be curvier and less angular when moving, if you get my drift and they'd all come together in front of the building that the programme is broadcast from (in the case of the midlands, the mailbox).

If you mean last fridays 10.25 bulletin, then that was Carol Lowe (who presents thursday and friday 10.25 bulletins).

Did anybody else see who presented todays 3.20 bullletin?

That's strange not like Gordon to not present the 3 20 bulletin.
it might have been Carlole Lowe, or Annabell tiffin. probably carole as she does do later in the week bulletins, but i much prefer Anabelle. she's a great asset to nwt and so underused!

It was definately not Annabel Tiffin, Carol Lowe, Fiona Trot or Tina Bangs.

I wonder if she will present today's bulletin?

Gordon was again absent from the 3.20 bulletin.

The same female presenter was fronting the bulletin as yesterday, the name strap read Ranvir Singh.

Unusual for a presenter just to front a short bulletin and nothing else.
