Can you post a still of the Lisa Davidson bulletin? Simply because I can't remember what the hell she looks like!!

For some reason, I cannot open the link from my desk. Damn.

James

James,

Here's the picture you were after. Sorry for the delay.

Haha, no worries James.

I'd hadn't even heard of her, so you've beaten me there. When I saw it was a news summary on the tape, I was hoping it would be Moira, but alas, it was not to be!

Moira tapes tend to be like gold dust! Pity.

I have a daytime update from the virtual set pre - 1997 with Moira and really big hair. Once again I apologise, but I cannot post any caps.

Awww, that's a shame. Would have loved to have seen Moira with big hair again!

I've been fiddling about today, and managed to get rid of the terrible crackling on my recording of the Christmas Day news bulletin from 1995. I posted it last year, but this is an improved version!

I know it's unlikely, but does anyone have the BBC News bulletin from the day that the corporate logo changed (4th Oct 1997)? I'm looking for the bulletin that was on at around 5pm, presented by Moira Stuart and with the first showing of the then new, BBC clock??

Can anyone help me.....?
Thanks Very Happy

Anybody.........?

Didn't Weekend 24 use the old UK Gold music at one point?

Excellent uploads. Incidentally, does anyone know what the newsroom behind the presenters is now used for?

After that look was junked, that studio (N3 - absolutely tiny) later became used for Working Lunch when it launched. It's right next to what was N2 (virtual studio) and N1 (was World). N2 is now TC11 - BBC Three News + a few other things. N1 is - I think - TC10 (might have got my TC's muddled up here!) - last thing I know it was used for was N24 with a virtual backdrop whilst N8 was being rebuilt in late 2003. The newsroom in the background was the genuine thing - the sixth floor newsroom. The desk nearest the camera was the Nine's desk, and beyond that was the desk shared by the One and Six. After the main newsroom moved to Stage Six/News Centre in 1998ish, the news Business and Economics Unit moved in there. Then a few years ago, the whole area got a makeover and I think it's now used as the offices of the channel controllers - BBC1,2,3,4. Lots of glass walls..... Traditionally the sixth floor's always been where the real power was, and News was right in the middle of it. Of course, News is too big to be there now, but it's slightly sad to be a long way from the top suits....
