in MP4, in 4:3. Don't like them to be honest. I'd prefer them to be in 16:9 for starters

Im not sure if you can get widescreen Ipods just yet and as the screen is so small on the Ipod its prob best that its in 4:3

So the BBC jumps on another gimmick bandwagon.

Am I the only one who's never really seen the point of being able to watch TV on handheld devices like iPods and mobile phones?

If I'm at home, I'd rather watch TV on... my TV, rather than a postage-stamp sized screen. If I'm not at home, I'm generally driving, at work, or out with friends, in which case I'm not going to be watching TV.

The only exception might be the rare occasions I'm using public transport. Now, exciting though it sounds, I'd rather forgo the chance to watch a compilation of the Best Bits of the Ten O' Clock News than significantly increase my chance of getting mugged by flashing around a video iPod.

I've never really understood the need for a highlights podcast of news programmes unless they're produced daily in the morning (like the Today Programme). Who wants to watch to last night's/night before's/night before last's news?
