I seem to remember that some months back, overnights came from studio E but used the World News generic titles instead (minus the Newsroom pan). So they must have the ability to swap templates between the studios.

They did, that was a weekend shift because they were upgrading C with the wider screens. Whether they can do that now with BNCS down, is another matter (as the user below me noted)

They would normally have the ability its whether it's currently possible with the systems down that is in question (and I'd guess not considering Beyond 100 days, OS and the 5 have used generic titles).

Cameras seem to be having a wobbly in E now, it's all go tonight.

Looked like someone (quite possibly a world news director who rarely works in gallery E) keyed in for the papers opening shot rather than the shot with the presenter in the centre which caused the camera to be off centre and which was corrected by the movement while in shot.
EDIT: I imagine that all of the galleries are very similar but each has a few studio specific shots that could cause such minor errors (that really aren't important) in camera angles but shouldn't stop them working the gallery for each studio.

Think the right shot was used but Ros was off centre, hence the quick camera move to get him back in the middle of the shot. After the headlines they did the shot they use at the start of each hour from the headlines zooming in, and again Ros was slightly to the camera's right of middle, so once the move finished they had to adjust accordingly.

Presumably so Sophie can do the final prep for the ten which will probably be even more similar to the six than normal.

Must be for News at Ten with Sophie then?

And Ros didn't get chance to close OS.

Surprised Newsnight haven't chosen to decamp to Westminster over using A.

I’d imagine WNA is preempted due to the Thanksgiving Holiday through Friday. They’ve done it in years past.

The team is based in NBH, so it’s logistically easier to do a technically simpler show, rather than moving production to another site.
