I wonder...

When BBC Scotland finally move to their new building, I wonder whether the Reporting Scotland / Newsnight Scotland shared-studio/set will be yet another copy of the N6/TC7 "shoebox" set? This would allow Newsnight Scotland to look exactly like its network sibling.

There was talk of the new studio looking out real windows over the Clyde ala the old London Tonight set. but it wouldn't surprise me if it will just be another BBC News set clone.

The "talk" is accurate. The Rep Scotland studio space has a window wall I beleive.

I've always found the views of Glasgow to be less than satisfactory, but that's only because I'm spoiled by views of Edinburgh.

The newsroom will have nice window views, but the Reporting Scotland / Newsnight Scotland studio has no windows.

Err. That may be, but over a fifth of Scotland's population live around the Glasgow conurbation, not Edinburgh or Aberdeen. Aren't Aberdeen, the east and the borders getting an opt anyway (no doubt with own "window" views)?

Well I'd rather be looking out over Glasgow than over the current virtual, and might I add ****, attempt at a newsroom!!!

Ah I see, thanks. Not too long then, although we would be naive not to expect delays etc. as there are always delays with these sort of things! Very Happy
