Who presented the bulletin?

And why was there one at this time when Moira did a summary an hour earlier in the Politics Show?

Don't get all excited. It'll simply be a logistics reason as to why the bulletin came from N24. BBC One obviously decided to schedule a bulletin on BBC One after The Politics Show as well as having the summary in the main programme. However the is only one main studio crew on on a Sunday so it'll be many of the same people who staff The Politics Show studio and the National News studio and they can't move between the two that quickly. Simple option rather than spending lots of money bringing in more people is to use the N24 studio. Just a simple case of saving money. Philip Hayton was the on duty N24 presenter so no problem in him doing a BBC One summary.

Phillip Hayton presented the bulletin which was also being shown on News 24.

A 'BBC NEWS' branded tower was displayed.

Phillip then continued with the bulletin on News 24.

That isn't actually the BBC One studio - nor is it on The Politics Show. It's just a CSO backing on the Nationals studio. The presenter is actually sitting a few feet away from Sir David in the same position they always used to be in.

i think N24 bulletins are the norm on a Sunday afternoon now aren't they?

Is it a simulcast or does N24 show something like Fast Track?

BBC News 18 indeed.

I would trust Nicky's info on that!

Why couldn't the bulletin have been done from that CSO in the Politics Show studio?

No as there isn't usually one scheduled. It seems it was just scheduled as a filler as there isn't one next week.

Also N6 was being used for the BBC World TV and World Service Radio Interactive programme Talking Point. Laughing
