Maybe Akhtar Khan will be back for the 0000-0500 shift?

Interesting to see what they do at midnight. If it's live then you will see all the staff coming back in during the first fifteen minutes

Looks as if Stephen Cole has finnaly bowed out.

After the live weather at 11.30, N24 went straight into HARDtalk.

What a truly excellent job he has done today both on N24 and BBC ONE.

It was clearly evident today just how dull and dreary a programme or channel is without the proper production and technical staff. Ok so programmes have continued and the all of 3 presenters on News 24/World did a cracking job, but the news has barely changed all day on the BBC. Hopefully management will realise this and think very wisely before handing out any P45's. Also whoever is currently controlling the news 24 clock tower. Please just leave it. Its been like a YOYO all night constantly animating on and off every so often.

What makes me laugh more is the fact they've got a fancy plasma screen in the background, with "Dixons Stretchy-vision" (TM) image!!!!

Surely someone would know in BBC Scotland how to configure a plasma properly!! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Tim Bishop - head of BBC East - is presenting Look East!

And he's dreadful.

Just goes to show that the BBC has far too many over-paid managers, and it's these people that should be sacked from the BBC. The BBC has more suits than talent, and as we have seen today which is very clear - the suits have no talent, and it amazes me how they are in the high positions that they occupy.

This is the guy who did the 6.25pm broadcast..

It's midnight and is News 24 back on. Well... they had a BBC News Tower with the URL instead of the clock. This stayed on screen for a few seconds before opting back to the News 24 Tower with clock and it's Stephen Cole presenting.

As predicted, The 00:00 BBC News 24/World News is recorded. I guess a familiar face will return at 01:00.

Pre-recorded BBC News 24 bulletin, suggests normal service resumes at 1am.

Seriously, dejay, if you don't go to sleep now you won't wake up for school

Stephen Cole is STILL GOIN (since 5pm) he is doing the midnight News 24, looks like a World Simulcast as the BBC NEWS tower was displayed at the start of the bulletin.

Looks very suspiciously on tape - there was the same ominous delay before the programme started that there was last night at midnight.

I know it said recorded last night, but that was before they noticed the old BBC News 24 dog was out of date - presumably there isn't anywhere to put that beside the tower.
