I thought it was a repeat at first, as all of the stories were the exact same at the start, but there was something different added to the bulletin.
I have to say this Leo guy hasn't been too bad either, and there hasn't been that many technical hitches, but hopefully NWT will be back to normal tomorrow. Thank God, as Granada News has been awful today.

Here in the North West we got that Leo bloke again at 10.25. The webcam window was still showing Manchester in glorious daylight!

... and my final words for tonight - don't forget you can stream Click Online (if you want to see it again !!!) from the BBC World website.
Good night all!
Good night all!

And he's dreadful.
Just goes to show that the BBC has far too many over-paid managers, and it's these people that should be sacked from the BBC. The BBC has more suits than talent, and as we have seen today which is very clear - the suits have no talent, and it amazes me how they are in the high positions that they occupy.
Grrrr... this type of comment always really annoys me. Organisations... particularly large ones, need people with a whole range of 'talents', it isn't a foregone conclusion that someone exceptional working onscreen is a capable manager. The BBC needs managers... not too many admittedly... but it is just plain stupid to criticise someone who is a manager and standing-in for not being talented enough... you don't know how talented they are because you aren't seeing them managing... you are seeing them presenting... doing a different job... the two are different roles! The BBC should keep talented presenters on screen and talented managers managing.
Slightly off topic, but the same goes for education and hospitals.. why do we assume that a teacher-manager or doctor-manager is a better manager than a manager-manager (if you see what I mean!). Yes, managers do need real-world 'back to the floor' experience, but you shouldn't judge a BBC manager's contribution to the corporation based on their ability to stand in as a presenter.
I'm not saying that I agree/disagree with the strike, but I get fed up with many peoples' assumptions that 'managers are bad, uneccessary beings'.
(P.S. -Yes... I am a manager....!)

Has anyone got a video of the closing on the BBC LONDON late bulliten please? It would be much appreciated!
I thought it hillarious as she was shuffling her papers for what seemed ages while the music was running, checking the monitor to see if she was off air every 5 seconds or so and when she had finised putting her papers down and stared at the camera because the closing graphics failed. Classic!
LoveTV
PS: We also had a late opt-out crashing into the weather mid-sentence.

Just sent this e-mail to the BBC:
After watching the BBC News output, especially the 10 o'clock news, I was compelled to write a congratulatory e-mail. I was amazed at the professionalism and the high standards which were maintained throughout the strike. Special praise must go to Akthar Khan who presented on News24 from 1am right through to 10am. He looked confident throughout and never weary and was always on the ball - very well done! The 10 o'clock news impressed me the most though; it had a varied selection of stories from across Europe and the world (a lot of which no other channel broadcast). It amazed me how much better the output was on the BBC with a skeleton staff than on ITV News.

That was going ok until the immature nonsense of the final line, yet another "ITV? That's rubbish isn't it" type member here then?
Aktar Khan did do well this morning, probably the first time the 'overnight' presenter has hosted Breakfast at the end of his shift

I just find ITV (1,2,3 and News) so boringly bland. I am sorry - the news relies on the graphics and the programmes rely on the word "celebrity". I only watch ITV for Corrie and Judge Judy now.

No People won't be entering the buildings until 0001
Marcus, as someone who is is reliable source of information regarding BBC News, and how it all works. How long will it take for BBC World studio to be ready to go "live" after 00:01?
Thanks
Si!
I doubt they will get anything out of the World studio tonight. I will be back for 0500 tomorrow morning. I guess the night team on News24 will take over during the midnight
Thanks. I suppose it would make sense to keep everything over at an up and running studio for the rest of the night.
Hope it is not too chaotic for you all tomorrow when you arrive for work.
Although I have to add the management and co have not done that bad today. About time some of those management types earned a bit of that money that they get paid, and realise the value of the work that you and your collegues do day in day out, and put that axe hanging over your heads away.
