Best Look East that I've seen in a while! I can't remember the presenters of the top of my name (blame my concentration span!) but probably management, he looked very nervous speaking very slowly to the camera but the best bit was right at the end when he advised of when the next news was and said "see ya later", almost like he was down the pub rather than presenting a news programme.

As the programme ended and the wide shot appeared, he put a fist up almost like it was a fist of triumph then suddenly released he was still on television and put it back down again!

Former black rugby player reading the news on Wales Today!!!

Jeeeez - I think they should have had one of the channel directors to do it!

Have you ever seen any of them!! Nigel Walker is a much better choice.

Really?

Tom Bradby gloated that N24 switched to recorded output at midnight, but of course no mention that:

a) ITV News is recorded from midnight every night
and
b) last night (this morning) they showed SATURDAY'S news, leading on the Cup Final result...

The BBC is NOT a state broadcaster (it's a common misconception), to say so would suggest that direct control lies in the hands of government.

Wikipedea is seen as a reliable source of information, take a look here and you'll see that nowhere are the words "state broadcaster" found together, neither will you find them if you do a search of the BBC's own website.

Yes, and in my postman pat book all postmen drive a red van and post arrives in the morning. Just because its not in your simple sources, does not make it untrue....and the bbc are hardly going to use THAT definition are they??

The EU view the BBC as a state broadcaster, and it is referred to often as such by quality newspapers of all persuasions.

I have to say Aktar Khan did very well on Breakfast World News 24 this morning (i think thats technically what it should have been called this morning). He just seems to cope with anything that guy and never stops smiling. Fair play to all those on strike today as well. Its just not right what the management are doing.

Look East should always be that short and always be presented by him. He was quite clearly cacking himself but seemed to be pleased with his efforts at the end. Smile

N24 viewers were just treated to about 50 seconds of a spinning globe with the ribbons device, followed by a 59 second countdown.

Seriously, I'm telling you, the BBC is not a state broadcaster.

If you think that it is, then you are entitled to your own opinion, but it's wrong I'm afraid.

Other countries sometimes DO refer to the BBC as a state broadcaster, but they are simply incorrect.

As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing more to say on the matter...
