Sky now have a big test card on the newswall while discussing the story.. but Millbank's got a tiled BBC logo at a 45 degree angle - surely against the guidelines?
You can use company branding and logo's when reporting directly about them...
Ah, no, I meant that it was probably against the BBC's guidelines to use the logo
in that way
. (Don't mind me, I'm just being pedantic)
According to the BBC 1 homepage the news on BBC 1 at 1o'clock will be a full half an hour, not 15 minutes at had been previously reported. Animal Park will replace the regional news at 1.30pm.

Gotcha, no worries!!
BBC News 24 gave no weather at the 10:30 link to head-to-head, no ident either, although as far as i'm aware, a news channel has to identify itself when it leaves a bulletin, so that is a management cock-up there, although i'm sure it will be overlooked!

They don't normally, you normally have the ident at half past, but there is no ident before the programmes, although I think what you are describing is to do with commercial news channels.
A statement from the BBC included this quote at the end, which I think won't go down too well on the picket lines or with the unions when it reaches them....
"Industrial action will not remove the need for further consultation or the need for the BBC to implement changes which will enable us to put more money into improved programmes and services."
I have to say, that I'm pretty impressed with the BBC's coverage today. If I didn't know there was a strike I probablay wouldn't notice anything at all.
In the last bulletin we got news with Susan Osman, business with Julia Cesar and sport with Adnan Nawaz. What more do you want?

Some interesting stories and reporting? The lead item (going out on World as well, remember) is that Camelot's profits are up. Complete with a soundbite from the press conference that was verging on a minute long.
Compare with Sky's next headline sequence, and see what's actually in the news today...
I have to say I have been very impressed with news 24's service today - it would be nice to see a more serious news programme in the mornings, rather than breakfast which is very watered down. The presenters aren't too bad - wonder how long susan will last!
The link has been given by someone over in the latter pages of the current BBC World thread (for streaming live BBC World News). Sorry, I'm not too good at cut and paste, so will leave it to do yourself.
Doily = Susan Osman, as she is known on this forum. God only knows why.

Sky News really are presenting very well today, and making a big effort, whether that has anything remotely to do with BBC News' problems, I couldn't really say to be honest.
The interesting points in the next few hours are;
12:00:- The Daily Politics on BBC2. This is a live programme, so will it materialise??
12:30: - Royal Chelsea Flower Show on BBC1, again this is supposed to be live with Jennie Bond I think.
12:30:- Working Lunch on BBC2. Again another Live programme, although News24 have been utilising the business team at the LSE, so maybe we will see somethjing from there??
13:00:- The One O'Clock News......
