Interesting that 5 Live have got half hour news and sport. Some scab manager is in pressing the buttons.

To be fair, managers don't go on strike.
And to be even more fair most of them don't agree with the job losses either - it's just they're the ones that have to stay in and keep everything going

Yes, although it'll backfire on them slightly when lots of local radio stations join at 1am an hour into it...

Off to bed now. I imagine the NUJ and Bectu sites will have quite a lot of detailed information about the disruption from tomorrow morning.

I can see this forum is going to be very active throughout the strike.

Wasn't exactly a crash tho, was it. It was a perfectly OK fade.

Any monkey manager who used to be an N24 director can sit and do that all night.

So BBC News24 and i'm assuming BBC World are in Click Online, with BBC One due to join at 00:55......... will BBC One just crash straight into Click Online??

There are the rumours doing the rounds of some possible BBC One time filling, i.e. test card action i think was mentioned by someone severeal pages in this thread ago....

Yes like any forum would be active! Anyone know if Ceefax has flashed up anything about the strike and not being able to update certain pages?

There is absolutly no reason why not. There are plenty who are coming out.

If they agree they should go on strike.

Most of them have their backbones removed when they are promoted.

For instance when John Birt was in charge they all supported him totally. As soon as Greg Dyke took over Birt was completly wrong and Dyke could do no wrong.

Now of course Dyke was all wrong for the BBC and Thompson is great

I doubt there would be testcard action unless it was by some wishful thinking by a certain Sim0n Luxt0n lol A shame that I'm at work so I can't see any of this but that's life..
