News 24/BBC One shall be airing a news special today focusing upon the Cornish Flooding, as a general question is there any plans for modifications, such as the beautiful Global Warning titles, well along them lines anyhoot.

No there won't. Come on, the floods happened yesterday, the decision to have a special was made this morning. Which gives zero time to do any titles other than put up a key for the words "BBC News Special"...

Global Warning took a couple of weeks to do.

besides... I'm still recovering from Birmingham!

Nice. Nicely aligned to the music.

EDIT: Could have done with a "24" forming up though.

EDIT 2: Yay 500!

I wish the BBC would treat their news specials as ITV usually do, having them made as a network programme that is simulcast on News 24, rather than simulcasting News 24 on BBC1.

Why? It just means causing extra chaos by setting up a different programme when BBC One can simply dip in to News 24. The main reason is that News 24 gets a parade and the BBC shows off its rolling news service. Today's News Special was excellently done as well, and did a great job at just that.

Why? Using a News 24 simulcast is much cheaper, rather than having to use other facilities to broadcast the programme, and it also promotes News 24 on terrestial. Nothing wrong with any of it.
