I’ve been wondering based on seeing the green room in BTS videos it appears E, C and B all share the same area with doors leading to the studios. Are the studios all in NBH proper or the existing wings or the plaza outside?

E is on the newsroom floor, which is a floor below street level. A, B & C are further below in the basements IIRC.

I think but might be wrong that B and C share a green room (though that might be for BBC World and not all programmes). That would mean they are on the same floor.

If anyone was looking for a list of studios over at their competitor ITN, it is a short list, as there are now only three studios left that are fully operational at ITN.

Studio 1 - Green screen studio with two sets in it. Home to all ITV National News and ITV News London programmes
Studio 2 - Home to 5 News and Jeremy Vine's Channel 5 morning show
Studio 6 - Overlooking the atrium of ITN, home to Channel 4 News since it was opened in 1999

And I believe that is it for ITN. If there are any more studios operational at ITN, I would like to know, but I think it is just the above three.

Maybe not ITN owned, but in the building there’s a small two camera studio that could probably handle a decent sized desk with two people for NBC.

Thanks for your responses guys!
Although I basically knew how the virtual studio worked, I was more interested how the presenter interacted with a guest on location without an actual screen to see him.
Also, just found these Behind The Scenes videos if anyone else is still interested...

Also, just came across this...

This really shows how small the Sky News Virtual Set really is, when you see it in all its perspective!

There is a shared green room between B and C, but B also has other green rooms nearby which it uses for larger programmes with more guests. E has its own green room because it’s on the same floor as the newsroom.
