If someone likes a particular day off and their employer accomdates that request then why not! Could say it’s odd Piers Morgan having Thursdays and Fridays off etc

No Piers days off isn't the same, or comparable. Laura Miller will be doing Mon - wed Reporting scotland - Friday BBC scotland news
You have to wonder is there no one spare to fill the Friday slot?

Well I mean I tend to have a Thursday off myself but I don’t see the company I work for being desperate to find someone else to work Friday instead of me...
With preparations underway for BBC Scotland's overnight election coverage, programmes such as The Seven, Seven Days, The Nine and The Edit will move to the 4th floor of Pacific Quay. The set has been replicated so really, you shouldn't be able to see much difference. Here are grabs from tonight's 'Seven' and 'Seven Days'.
Will be interesting to see what they do with the election set and whether it's more in the network style. Considering they've relocated though and basically replicated the set it begs the question why they didn't just build the election set itself on the 4th floor?

I'm guessing the background/big screen looks better from the lower levels.
Looking at the schedules, rightly they're claiming exemption from the 1200-BBC TWO REBROADCAST - 1900 - BBC SCOTLAND SCHEDULE - 0000 time block constraints on Friday.
Additional programming running overnight into the morning from 0000 - 0900 (as scheduled currently)
