Well this is turning into one of those "what a time to be alive" days! I'm guessing after that "showdown" that she will be one of the five Presenters going (if the NUJ Figures are right!)

This is the BBC. She’ll probably be promoted. She’ll be reading the One within six months.

Would not surprise me if Sky Poach her.

They will offer the Six or Ten but obviously that would mean having to work evenings and lates so would turn it down.

Don’t get the weird hate of individuals here. Do any of you know them? Why the petty comments about someone not working evenings? Many people don’t want to do that.

Let’s hope the reduction in the “100 stories per day” that they currently cover is taken from all that click bait rubbish they fill the website with these days. There is no need for the BBC to waste resources covering these stories, they are covered elsewhere.

Through they probably get a higher amount of younger people.

The earth will need to freeze over before that happens! And after that showdown today she's surely finished! Having a showdown with your boss (cuts or not) does not come across or end well.

If those young people are just visiting to read these drivel stories, then I think they can do without them visiting at all.

The BBC has been told to improve under 35 usage.

Same audience as Victoria Derbyshire...

While I obviously sympathise with those who work on Victoria Derbyshire's show, have to say from the tweets on here Derbyshire's remarks do come across as slightly self-important given the meeting was about cuts for the whole of BBC News, it's not just the Victoria Derbyshire show being cut.
Similarly, the framing on social media of Victoria's show being cut and it treated as if Victoria is the last bastion of quality journalism is both ludicrous but sadly typical of social media. Victoria's show won't be the first and won't be the last news show to be cut by a broadcaster.

Totally agree. It wasn't the BBC's fault that the story leaked before they had chance to actually tell her. Sadly it happens, especially in the entertainment business.
