Yes for the logo positioning, it could be better. But I think we will hit the jacpot and go back in time to the turn of the millennium.

I'm sure once all the older pages are re-vamped/re-generated they will then be able to remove all the old stylesheet stuff. At the moment they are supporting the old and new layouts...

Just to look at the graphic for a moment, which will I presume be in the new titles in 3 weeks time...

Looks like the cross-hatched bits are the 'Cat's Cradle' that was mentioned...?

I like that they have moved to a subtle teal instead of typical navy blue, there are still some issues with spacing between items on the news front page, I'd seperate the elements more, to make it feel neater and more organized.

Also its time to ditch verdana for headers, and move to arial

The bottom half of the home page on its own looks ridiculous.

When I went on at 9:10am, only the front page had the new look, since then all pages have now been changed.

I think it would look a lot better if they went the way of channel4.com, and allowed the larger sections to alter the header with their own design and logo.

There's no need for the large BBC masthead on these types of pages - sure, on the page for "Any Dream Will Do" but not the BBC News website.

I'm not sure the cross hatching is actually, the shape of it makes me think its a sphere/globe, perhaps those curved elements loop in twists like a cat's cradle?

Now benjy has the right look up there ^^

That's exacxtly how i would want it to look, and it fits the page so much better

I don't like the 'iPlayer' shoved on the right of the front page, it looks wrong. Instead a weather likk would be much better

They really should be breaking out of tabled-designs by now. CSS should be used for layouts in modern websites.

Looks very nice. It reminds me of the CBC, but with the 1999 colours.
