It's at least a bit better than the 'dark and sombre' mood of red and black.
I don't like that at all. Very disappointed. Site looks rubbish too - especially as the BBC News boxed logo is still there. It looks closest to Breakfast - my least favourite news branding.
Looks a bit 'style over substance' to me so far, the screen looks far less 'busy' than before. It'll take some time to adjust to, The old style declares that we are in the news business this doesn't. It reminds me of the most recent CNN web relaunch. I dislike the lack of a separatable media player and the apparant switch to flash only operations for clips.
Stop being so flippin' half empty guys. I think it looks faultless, especially the new graphic on the right, that one would assume is in the new titles - I love it.
I quite like it, as said before, it looks so much brighter and fresher than the black and deep reds. It's a a shame that we have only small amounts to look at up to now, but it's something.
As an insider said somewhere, 'It looks better animated', so don't judge so soon.
However, i agree with comments about the header looking wrong, and the stupid live thingy, but hopefully, they are teeting problems.
I really like it, the new page layout works well for me, and that graphic is of course just a taster of how it'll look on air, and I'm a bit more optimistic now that it will look good. Agree the two BBC logos so close together looks wrong though.
Sport front page also looking good, less cluttered.
