MyConnect portal slowed down earlier tho

Are you trying to show off your BBCness again, like when you advertised in your signature that you had to be at the Mailbox the next day, despite it only being a school trip?

It wasn't a school trip. I sent BBC Coventry and Warwickshire a letter and they said yes and I had to be at BBC Coventry Open Centre .

Laughing I feel sorry for you now Michael - did you think you had an important role to play there?

I noticed on the opening of the 5.50pm BBC One bulletin today, they used the actual full length version of the 'round the world' sequence. They normally shorten the first four seconds, which is a shame as that part makes the rest of it seem more dramatic and attention grabbing.

They tend to use this on all the bulletins from News 24 as it allows a cleaner opt in (for the Sat MIdday bulletin)

This was discussed at the time lol - We all know you went following on from some Public conference for like the Local BBC radio...

Lots of companys have a gateway system - some are called sharepoint which is microsoft run and announcements etc can be posted on it. There is also Microsoft Web Exchange for checking email.

A smooth late intro into the networked bulletin this evening. Simon McCoy presented the first bit of News 24 to just past 1005 bringing snippets of two-ways with correspondents earlier in the evening on the top stories, before informing us we were being joined by BBC One viewers, and promptly launched straight into the headlines.

They certainly seem to be making these junctions far tighter and smoother.

Still would have made more sense surely to extend the 9pm "hour" by an extra 5-minutes.

I do hope they move News 24 within the next few weeks.

The presentation is so stale now, the set looks like it won't last another few weeks - it literally looks like it's falling to pieces, if not at least clean it because it looks filthy dirty and the floor is all scuffed - and that bloody chugging tractor cam at the TOH that sounds like it's about to take off!

I was chatting with one of my Media mates the other day and he is the BIGGEST fan of the BBC, but he also said to me that BBC News (not just News 24) is in a horendous state at the moment.

Come on BBC, hurry things along!
