There may be a further "service mode" for your model. On many Sonys it's:
Turn off to standby then power off completely. Turn power on so it's in standby then press:

vol +
TV (the square symbol that exits Text)
You should be in the service mode. Be VERY careful what you alter as it can ruin your TV, note anything before changing it.
I tinkered around with my Bush TV in service mode for ages but eventually got the picture I wanted (and can read the News24 ticker now).

Hi its a Sony CRT widescreen, flat screen, 28" Triniton (sorry for the spelling). I have tried to sort it out on the menu. I can change it on smart mode using the up and down buttons but the picture looks squashed. It doesnt bother me that much but when i want to look at the ticker it can be hard to read.

Any news of confirmed dates?
News 24's current studio really is appalling at the moment with that squealing tractor cam at the TOH and the endless list of things that keep going wrong.
Will be nice to see the channel get a fresh new look.
Also, anyone got any sneaky snap shots of the new studio yet?
My first post on the forums BTW!

Yep - that's the rule of thumb I follow - though sometimes "TV Seasons" are different.
I'd like to know more about "TV Seasons". What does it mean noggin?

TV channels often have a launch of their "new autumn season" where they invite the press and announce which shows are returning and what happens in them, and which new shows they are commissioning etc., with a start date for that season. AFAIK this is quite an arbitrary date - but is referred to as "the autumn season launch" etc.

Sorry.
Was having technical difficulties whilst submitting the post, so it looked to me like it hadn't submitted, when in fact it had. I've now deleted the extra ones.
