I wondered why Chris was standing, but I imagine the out from the football will be quite short notice.

Now he's sat on the right hand side of the desk - front pages seem to be on the desk (a useful filler maybe)

Well it'll be half an hour at least as full extra time is now played - and considering after 3 hours neither team has scored yet, it'll probably go to penalties too so I can't see the 10 being on air until 10.45pm at the earliest.

A late evening for Huw and the regions then.

It's gonna get messy!

Almost guaranteed - they struggle with bulletins at scheduled times, let alone last minute. Will be irritating to News 24 viewers - is the current output likely to be the Ten's schedule of stories?

It makes you wonder why the BBC have changed the EPG (on Sky) to say the news starts at 10:05. Its can't (couldn't) possibly start at that time given what you say above.

Edit: Just changed to 10:40, apart from the nations who are showing nothing according to the EPG.

It now says 1040 with regions at 1105

If I was in charge I'd run the footy til 10.45, get regions to fill til 11 with their nonsense, then neatly have the Ten at 11.

Lets hope there is no breaking news, such as those missing home office disks being found, to mess things up.

The nations are showing their national bulletin at 1030, the networked news at 1040 and London News at 1105

It would never happen, but really in cases like this it would make more sense to put the regional bulletin on air first - after so long the national news being on an extra 5 minutes later wouldn't make much difference, but getting all the regional news teams out half an hour earlier kind of makes sense.

Would the regions really be in a position to fill 15 minutes, even if you ran the weather before the 10 it would be a push.
