Any pics of how it'll look when it's finished?

See BBC Web Page.

I've seen some pics before of what the News Centre should look like, but can't find them at the mo.

Cheers - looks gorgeous. Hopefully when they move then any revamp will have showing off the building as it's main focus, just like ITN did when they moved to the Atrium.

The Daily Wail , of course, will declare it a complete a disgusting waste of TV TAX payer's money.

Sod that. It's gorgeous. IMO it looks something like the original BBC News 24 set on Stage VI of TVC.

It would be great if they based the nationals/ N24 on that set when they move in! (i.e. like the current N24 set is)

That was the original idea- hence the red news studio in the top right of the pic!

But after many changes I believe they are now all situated in the basement- to free up room for desks in the news centre. The only exception is the BBC Arabic service which has a studio within it's own newsroom in the Egton wing- which is nearly finished.

That seems a waste - they should at least have one of their flagship studios in the heart of the news centre.

The footballs gone into extra time tonight, meaning the Ten o'clock News will run into Newsnight - so I guess Newsnight will get the studio and the Ten will come from News 24.

News 24 currently being hosted standing up by the screen.
