Was anyone watching N24 a few moments ago? We're my eyes deceiving me or did the headline transaction have a big glowing '24' in the middle?

Not just you, no.

Incidentally, in the John Prescott report there, the Powerpoint bit had a big red bar down the left hand side, to about the edge of the 4:3 safe area. Is that going to be standard?!

Well the thundercaps between the Headline stories had the still of the BBC News 24 end of the titles which they dont normally use, then when they opted to the studio they had "BBC News 24 - Britains most watched News Channel" behind the presenter... they are giving it a small send off after all! Smile

Just paused it on the Sky+. It wasn't a still of the titles - it appeared to be an unused transisition. Similar to the one they used on the previous look but with (what looks like) the 2007 style globe and '24'.

At some point the routing will have to be switched as mentioned a few posts ago....

Now, I'm assuming that this will be done during breakfast as to cause little or no noticable artifacts on-screen.

But...... they could decide to hand over the current studio and gallery to World at 1am, and carry out the re-routing at some point through the night.

I agree with the consensus so far though, I doubt there will be any noticeable differences until at least 5am (4GMT) when the new day starts in the world of news.

What do they have to do to re-route the channels?

I recorded it and will upload the full Headlines TOH tomorrow. I've been recording News 24 from 11pm to record the last few hours of the channel, so glad I did.

Thanks Bail Very Happy That does look pretty good. Went too fast though, I thought it was the lack of sleep talking.

They ARE giving it a small send off after all. I did say that the Gallery in the background to the left of the presenter looked busier than normal!

Is it me or are they having problems with getting the V/T to play tonight. Thats the third/forth time something has refused to play. I think everything is now winding down for the last time on News 24... sad... just so sad.
